Bridges are funny things... we really don’t think about them... until we need a bridge and it’s not there. Then we realize that bridges are vital to our community—they connect people and places that otherwise would never meet.
RSVP builds bridges every day—between those in need and those who are able to serve.
Our mission is to link volunteers age 55 and older with essential community needs in central Oklahoma. Such matches not only aid organizations in reaching their goals, but also give the volunteers a wonderful feeling of productivity and usefulness that often diminishes with age.
RSVP volunteers tutor adults and children, prepare and deliver meals to shut-ins, perform clerical or computer tasks, provide transportation to medical appointments, work with at-risk youth, provide regular telephone contact to isolated persons, act as museum tour guides, help with crime prevention projects, provide entertainment and much, much more!
